With the exception of the 'Preface to the First Edition' page, all other pages included within this Extras section is content that was not a part of the original printed edition of the guide. Links to the extra pages are directly below.

With the Henry Heatwole Photo Gallery we are able to showcase some of Henry's film photographs from the 1960's and 70's. With the President Roosevelt dedication of SNP, we are able to provide more in-depth coverage of that special day back in 1936 (including the actual audio recording of the speech). Other aspects of the park's history are also represented with more detail, as well as informative sections about Big Meadows and Skyline Drive.

The guide has now reached another level in its journey through the decades. With the Web as its medium, it now has no boundaries or limitations. It is our hope that the guide will continue to evolve from the efforts of those who love and use Shenandoah National Park, and will continue its journey for many more decades to come.
